Peacock greenlights live-action Fast & Furious series
Peacock has officially greenlit a live-action television series based on the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. The project, which was previously in the pilot development stage, is now moving toward a planned 2028 premiere.
Vin Diesel will serve as an executive producer alongside Sam Vincent, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan. The series will be produced by Universal Television. Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman have been named as co-showrunners, pilot writers, and executive producers.
The television expansion aims to further explore the franchise’s characters and stories within the same universe as the film series. The 2028 launch is expected to coincide with the release of the film ‘Fast Forever’, which is currently scheduled for March 17, 2028. While plot and casting details remain undisclosed, the series follows the franchise’s previous animated expansion on Netflix.
