Peacock orders ‘Before I Let Go’ series adaptation

Peacock has officially ordered a series adaptation of Kennedy Ryan’s novel ‘Before I Let Go’, the first book in her Skyland series. The project has been in development at the NBCUniversal streamer for over three years.

The romantic drama follows Yasmen and Josiah Wade, a divorced couple navigating shared custody and lingering feelings for one another. Kennedy Ryan and Malcolm D. Lee created the series and co-wrote the pilot episode.

Attica Locke and Tembi Locke, known for the Netflix series ‘From Scratch’, will serve as showrunners and writers. Executive producers include Ryan, Lee, Dominique Telson, Mike Jackson, John Legend, and Debra Martin Chase. The series will be produced by Universal Global Television and Universal Television.
