Crystal Lake prequel series trailer released by Peacock and A24

Peacock and A24 have released the full trailer for ‘Crystal Lake’, a prequel series to the ‘Friday the 13th’ horror franchise. The series is set to premiere on October 15, 2026, consisting of eight one-hour episodes.

Starring Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, the show explores the character's descent into violence following the tragic drowning of her young son, Jason, in 1971. The narrative focuses on the emotional aftermath of the loss and the mysterious events that transform the camp into a site of horror. The production, led by showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, reportedly utilizes practical effects to maintain the franchise's signature bloody tone.

The cast includes Callum Vinson as the young Jason, alongside Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik. Fans have noted visual nods in the trailer to earlier iterations of the character, such as the ‘baghead’ Jason costume.
