Peacock renews ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ for second season

Peacock has officially renewed the drama series ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ for a second season following record-breaking viewership. According to NBCUniversal, the series has become the most-watched scripted series in the streaming platform’s history, accumulating 2.1 billion minutes viewed.

Based on the 2023 novel by Elin Hilderbrand, the show stars Jennifer Garner as a food influencer who gathers friends at her Nantucket home. While a release date for the second season has not been announced, the renewal transforms the project from a limited series into a franchise. The first season consists of eight episodes.
