Peacock sets premiere date for comedy series ‘Dig’ starring Amy Poehler

Peacock has announced the premiere date for its new 10-episode comedy series, ‘Dig’, set to debut on November 23. The series is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ bestselling novel, ‘Excavations’.

Starring Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie, the show follows a group of archaeologists and college students working at a dig site in Greece. The plot centers on the discovery of a rare artifact that leads the team into an international conspiracy. Poehler plays Elise, while Laurie portrays Neville, a British professor dedicated to the traditions of archaeology.

The series reunites Poehler with executive producer Michael Schur, known for ‘Parks and Recreation’. Co-showrunners include J. J. Philbin. The cast also features Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, and Fina Strazza, with guest appearances by Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing, and Bonita Friedericy.
