Ted: The Animated Series to premiere on Peacock in December
Peacock has announced the premiere date for ‘Ted: The Animated Series’, set to debut on December 17, 2026. The series will launch with eight episodes, with additional episodes scheduled for release in 2027.
Serving as a direct sequel to the ‘Ted’ and ‘Ted 2’ films, the animation picks up the story twelve years after the conclusion of the second movie. The plot follows John Bennett and Ted, who are now neighbors, each managing their own families and dead-end jobs while navigating the complexities of adulthood, marriage, and parenting.
The production reunites the original film cast to provide voices for their characters, including Seth MacFarlane as Ted, Mark Wahlberg as John, Amanda Seyfried as Sam, and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn. New series regulars include Kyle Mooney as Apollo and Liz Richman as Ruth. The series is created by MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan, and Brad Walsh, with animation handled by Rough Draft Studios. It is produced by UGT, a division of Universal Studio Group, Fuzzy Door, and MRC.
