Pearl Abyss launches Agent class and HyperBoost program for Black Desert MMORPG

Pearl Abyss announced the worldwide release of Agent, the 32nd playable class for its flagship MMORPG Black Desert, on July 30. The male secret‑operatives class is positioned as the younger brother of the 2024 Deadeye class, wielding a larger‑caliber revolver and a magical secondary weapon. Agent’s combat kit features high‑mobility skills such as Blink and a Mozambique Drill inspired by real‑world tactical shooting.

Alongside the new class, the developer introduced HyperBoost, a progression‑support system that guides players to reach a combined Attack Power and Defense Power score of 730, unlocking core game content more quickly. Completing seasonal characters, advancing through the Olvia Academy, and meeting set objectives rewards players with materials for Sovereign weapons, Kharazad accessories, and other key items.

The announcements were made at the Heidel Ball 2026 event in California on July 26, where Pearl Abyss also unveiled a long‑term roadmap for Black Desert. The roadmap includes future regions, technical upgrades, and the Edania Part 2 expansion, which will conclude the first major story arc and introduce new accessory types (Ekleta and Apeiron) while featuring lore characters such as Elion, Agris and Aal.
