Pearl Abyss targets second half of 2028 for DokeV release

Pearl Abyss has provided a new timeline for its open-world adventure game, DokeV, targeting a release in the second half of 2028. This update comes following years of limited information since the project's initial announcement in 2019.

In recent financial updates and communications to investors, the company confirmed that development is progressing and that resources are being redirected toward the project. Following the development of Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss is gradually shifting staff back to the DokeV team to expand content, refine mechanics, and define the gameplay loop.

While a definitive release date has not been set, the studio aims for a window between July and December 2028. A more significant reveal, including gameplay footage and a demo, is expected in the second half of 2027, which will precede a larger marketing push closer to the launch.
