Pearl Jam celebrates 35th anniversary of debut album ‘Ten’

Pearl Jam is celebrating the 35th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Ten’, which was originally released on August 27, 1991. The album is recognized as a cornerstone of the Seattle grunge movement, featuring iconic tracks such as ‘Alive’, ‘Jeremy’, ‘Even Flow’, and ‘Black’.

The band’s formation followed the dissolution of Mother Love Bone after the death of vocalist Andrew Wood. Original members Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard collaborated with Mike McCready and eventually joined forces with vocalist Eddie Vedder and drummer Dave Krusen to create the record.

To mark the milestone, the band has announced the first vinyl release of ‘Ten Live’, a recording of their 2016 performance at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia where they played the album in its entirety. Two vinyl editions are planned for release on November 27: a black pressing titled ‘(Turned My World To) Black’ and a limited transparent version for Ten Club members.
