PeaZip releases version 11.3.0 with security updates

The PeaZip Project has released version 11.3.0 of its open-source, cross-platform archive and file manager. This update includes significant security enhancements and backend updates to 7z/p7zip 26.03 and Pea 1.33.

Key features of the new release include improved support for ZPAQ archives, a new test function for PEA archives, and a mandatory master password requirement for the integrated Password Manager. Usability improvements were also introduced, such as a new ‘Open with’ picker screen.

Security-focused updates include improved handling of metadata characters, enhanced DLL loading processes on Windows, and fixes for crashes when interacting with encrypted ZPAQ archives. The software remains compatible with Windows, Linux, macOS, and BSD, supporting over 240 file extensions.
