Peccioli shares resource management models at Climate Week NYC

The Italian municipality of Peccioli participated in Climate Week NYC, an international platform for climate action held in New York. Represented by Mayor Renzo Macelloni, the small community shared its experience in resource management during a discussion hosted by the Future Food Institute at Regen House.

The debate focused on the relationship between water, energy, climate, and resource management, specifically following the presentation of the ‘Global Water Bankruptcy Report’. The session addressed the challenges of distributing limited resources among competing needs in agriculture, technology, urban development, and ecosystem protection.

Peccioli was highlighted alongside Venice and Pollica as an Italian example of territorial resilience. The municipality’s contribution centered on its transition toward a circular economy model, specifically through its approach to waste management and transforming environmental challenges into community value.
