Pecco Bagnaia criticizes Ducati GP26 performance amid technical struggles

MotoGP rider Pecco Bagnaia has expressed frustration regarding the performance of the Ducati GP26, describing his current struggles as the “worst period” of his career. Speaking ahead of the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano, Bagnaia noted difficulties with grip and adapting to the current bike, which has led to recent crashes in the British and Aragon races.

Bagnaia suggested that the evolution of the machinery has resulted in a regression, stating that the previous GP24 model was more competitive and capable of maintaining a top-four position in the championship. He noted that while competitors like Aprilia have made significant progress, Ducati has also lost some of the characteristics that made its previous iterations successful.

Despite these technical challenges, Bagnaia emphasized that the issue is his own responsibility to adapt to the machine. Meanwhile, his teammate Marc Marquez remains highly competitive, sitting second in the standings following a victory at Aragon.
