Francesco Bagnaia faces humiliation at Misano MotoGP

MotoGP rider Francesco Bagnaia has expressed deep frustration and a sense of humiliation following a difficult weekend at the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano. The two-time world champion struggled significantly with his Ducati Desmosedici GP26, facing severe issues with rear grip and engine braking that prevented him from finding a competitive rhythm.

During the Sprint race, Bagnaia finished in 13th place after starting from the back of the grid following a disappointing qualifying session. He noted that the bike's behavior was difficult to understand and manage, stating that he felt he had “zero” feeling for the machine. Bagnaia even suggested that the team would be leading the championship if they were using the previous year's GP24 model instead of the current GP26.

Ducati MotoGP boss David Tardozzi responded to the rider's comments, emphasizing that there is no lack of trust between the rider and the manufacturer. Tardozzi stated that the brand will “try hard” to help Bagnaia regain his confidence and performance levels through the end of the season, acknowledging the difficulty in replicating the setup used by his teammates.
