Pedagogue on trial for grooming and child abuse allegations

A male pedagogue employed in Stevns Municipality is appearing in the Roskilde Court to face charges of grooming and sexually abusing a girl under the age of ten. The prosecution alleges the man manipulated the child by giving her gifts and telling her he loved her and that they were a couple.

According to the indictment, the defendant sent the child a photo of his penis, kissed her on the mouth, and touched her breasts and buttocks both over and under her clothing. While the defendant’s lawyer, Carsten Brix, stated that the man admits to possessing over 100 images of child sexual abuse material on his phone—including 13 images in the most severe category—the defendant denies the allegations of grooming and sexual assault.

The trial is scheduled to take place on Monday and Wednesday.
