Women's empowerment highlighted through music and entrepreneurship in Italy

Various cultural and professional initiatives in Italy are highlighting women's roles in music and the workforce. In Pedaso, an event scheduled for August 29, 2026, will focus on the influence of women in blues and jazz, specifically examining their connection to female emancipation and the Black women’s movement. The event features jazz singer Ada Montellanico and trumpeter Massimo Nunzi, who will discuss the pioneers of African American music and civil rights.

In Bolzano, the “WoMen Unplugged” initiative, organized by CNA Impresa Donna Alto Adige Südtirol, recently showcased stories of women breaking professional stereotypes. The program featured female artisans and entrepreneurs to promote female entrepreneurship and combat gender bias in the workplace. Leaders from CNA Impresa Donna emphasized the importance of providing networking and inspiration for women pursuing non-conventional career paths.
