Pedernales students visit INFOTEP training center in Barahona

Students from Pedernales visited the Guarocuya Technical Professional Training School in Barahona to explore vocational programs offered by the National Institute of Technical Professional Training (INFOTEP). The visit, coordinated by Pedernales Governor Edirda de Óleo, aimed to connect local youth with training opportunities aligned with the growing tourism and hospitality sectors in the Enriquillo region.

Elvis Céspedes, representing INFOTEP, presented a diverse curriculum including English, informatics, sales, customer service, hotel reception, gastronomy, accounting, and cruise port operations. Governor de Óleo emphasized the importance of providing regional youth with access to these facilities to prepare them for the economic development and tourism expansion expected in Pedernales and surrounding communities.
