Pedestrian accidents reported in Washington and Colorado

Two separate pedestrian incidents involving vehicles were reported on Friday night in Washington and Colorado.

In Arlington, Washington, a man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car while attempting to cross an access road near 172nd St. NE. The Arlington Police Department stated the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for treatment. Authorities indicated that alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the crash.

In Craig, Colorado, an adult male pedestrian was killed after being struck by two separate vehicles while crossing Victory Way near Woodbury Drive. According to the Craig Police Department, the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. The drivers involved were juveniles under the age of 18. Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed and alcohol were not initial factors in the accident, though the Colorado State Patrol is continuing the investigation.
