Pedestrian dies in fatal A38 collision near M5 junction
A man in his 40s has died following a fatal road collision on the A38 near the M5 junction in Brent Knoll. The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:20 am on Saturday, August 29, involved a white Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended the scene, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the site. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to assist Avon and Somerset Police with their enquiries.
The A38 Bristol Road has been closed in both directions between the Fox and Goose pub and the B3140 roundabout to allow for a scene investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow diversions.
