Pedestrian incidents reported in Cluj and Argeș

Two separate road incidents involving pedestrians have been reported in Romania. In Cluj, a driver reported a near-miss on the DJ109 road near Vultureni, where two teenagers, estimated to be 15 or 16 years old, repeatedly crossed the road without checking for oncoming traffic. The driver had to swerve into the opposite lane to avoid hitting them.

In Argeș, a serious accident occurred on the DJ 659 in Negrași. A 70-year-old driver struck a 50-year-old pedestrian on the roadway. While the driver tested negative for alcohol, police noted indications that the pedestrian had been consuming alcohol. The pedestrian was transported to a medical unit for treatment, and a criminal case for negligent bodily harm has been opened.
