Bulgarian police report pedestrian accidents and DUI arrests
Multiple road-related incidents and traffic violations have been reported in various Bulgarian cities. In Plovdiv, a 21-year-old woman sustained minor injuries after being struck by a Mercedes on Svoboda Boulevard. The driver, aged 51, failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian.
In Ivaylovgrad, a 67-year-old woman was injured when a telecommunications cable, snapped by a moving Iveco truck, entangled her legs as she walked on a sidewalk. The driver tested negative for substances, but the incident resulted in a formal report.
Additionally, police in the Haskovo region reported several arrests for driving under the influence. This includes a 43-year-old driver caught using amphetamines and methamphetamines, as well as two other individuals detained for driving with high blood alcohol levels in Dimitrovgrad and Harmanli.
