The Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria notes that fluid and electrolyte balance is critical, as certain medications like diuretics or beta-blockers can affect these levels, potentially leading to arrhythmias.

Simultaneously, the arrival of spring in regions like Santa Catarina brings increased risks for children with respiratory sensitivities. Fiocruz and the Ministry of Saúde highlight that the combination of pollen, wind, and temperature fluctuations can trigger asthma, rhinitis, and conjunctivitis. For children with asthma, environmental triggers can cause rapid inflammation, leading to symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
