PedidosYa and Dominican Chamber of Deputies sign STEM internship agreement

PedidosYa Dominican Republic and the Chamber of Deputies have signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to strengthen ‘PeYantías STEM’. This initiative is designed to connect students and graduates of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields with practical professional development opportunities within a real corporate and technological environment.

The agreement was promoted by the Permanent Commission on Information and Communication Technology of the Chamber of Deputies, chaired by Deputy Vicente Sánchez Henríquez. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between universities and the private sector, specifically addressing the barrier of requiring prior work experience for entry-level positions.

Iván Valdez, Managing Director of PedidosYa Dominican Republic, stated that the alliance reflects a commitment to Dominican youth and the country’s digital future by allowing students to complement their academic training with practical innovation and professional learning.
