Pedrali Pavilion to become permanent design hub in Bergamo

The 16th edition of the Landscape Festival, scheduled for September 4-20, aims to provide the city of Bergamo with lasting knowledge and tools for landscape design. A central component of this initiative is the transformation of the Pedrali Pavilion from a temporary structure into a permanent building at the company's headquarters in Mornico al Serio.

Originally designed in 2023 by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, the fir-wood pavilion will now serve as a hub for design culture, innovation, and community engagement. The renovation preserves the original vaulted structure while adding a contemporary brass shingle roof designed for durability and climate control via integrated software.

The reorganized interior features an upper-floor auditorium for conferences and exhibitions, alongside a ground-floor showroom for outdoor collections designed by DWA Design Studio. The project emphasizes sustainability, utilizing a new geothermal heat pump and repurposing old wooden shingles for educational purposes.
