Pedro Acosta demands KTM address reliability issues after Silverstone finish
MotoGP rider Pedro Acosta has criticized KTM for recurring reliability issues and a lack of technical progress, describing the situation as “unacceptable.” Following a fifth-place finish at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, Acosta revealed he had confronted the team with “uncomfortable questions” during the summer break regarding their performance.
Acosta noted that while the team has shown a positive response to his feedback, significant improvements are required to secure a top-three or top-four position in the World Championship standings. He specifically highlighted the need to avoid mechanical failures and to show greater improvement throughout race weekends, rather than maintaining a static position from Friday through Sunday.
Despite the technical setbacks, Acosta managed a resilient performance at Silverstone, overcoming a difficult qualifying session. He also noted he is still managing physical discomfort following carpal tunnel surgery performed after the Dutch Grand Prix.
