Former MotoGP champion Casey Stoner praised Ducati’s decision to sign Spanish rider Pedro Acosta for the 2027 season but urged the 20‑year‑old to develop greater patience on track. Stoner highlighted Acosta’s aggressive style in his debut years and said a more measured approach would help him realise his potential on the Italian manufacturer’s bike.

Stoner also expressed sympathy for teammate Pecco Bagnaia, noting recent criticism of his performances, and suggested that pairing Acosta with Marc Márquez could provide a stable and competitive line‑up for Ducati. He added that the move from KTM to Ducati will give a clearer picture of Acosta’s true level.
