Pedro Alliana and Juan Carlos Baruja confirmed as 2028 duo

Within the Honor Colorado movement of the Colorado Party, Senator Antonio Barrios has reaffirmed that Horacio Cartes maintains his support for the presidential and vice-presidential duo of Pedro Alliana and Juan Carlos Baruja for the 2028 elections. Barrios denied rumors of an internal crisis or a restructuring of the national command, stating that any existing differences will be addressed following the upcoming municipal elections.

Vice President Pedro Alliana has urged party leadership and candidates to engage in active, in-person campaigning rather than relying on social media and digital platforms ahead of the October 4 municipal elections. His comments come amid internal discussions regarding the 2028 vice-presidential slot, where Baruja competes for support against other figures such as Guairá Governor César Luis Sosa and Deputy President Raúl Latorre.
