Pedro Aquino undergoes knee surgery in Argentina

Peruvian midfielder Pedro Aquino has undergone successful knee surgery in Rosario, Argentina. The procedure, a right knee arthroscopy performed by specialist Dr. Fernando Ariel Bacci at Sanatorio Centro, aims to restore mobility, strength, and functionality to the joint.

Aquino, who is currently under contract with Mexico's Santos Laguna until December 2027, will remain in Argentina for the initial stage of his recovery. He is expected to undergo rehabilitation for approximately four to six months, which may keep him away from professional competition until the end of the year.

The midfielder previously played for clubs including Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, América, and Monterrey. Following a brief period with Alianza Lima, he has been focused on recovering his physical condition to rejoin his Mexican club or potentially facilitate a transfer.
