Pedro Escartín sports fields reopen with youth football tournament

The annex fields of the Pedro Escartín Municipal Sports Complex in Guadalajara have resumed full activity following recent renovations. To mark the reopening, a pre-season tournament was held for young athletes.

The event featured 16 teams from the 'chupetín' and 'prebenjamín' categories, involving more than 200 children between the ages of 1 and 7. Guadalajara Mayor Ana Guarinos and Sports Councilor Armengol Engonga attended the medal and trophy ceremony, joined by players from the Deportivo Guadalajara first team.

The facilities are expected to serve approximately 1,750 athletes weekly for training and grassroots football competitions.
