Pedro Fernández notes growing non-Latino interest in Mexican music
Mexican singer Pedro Fernández, approaching 50 years in the music industry, reports that his music is reaching increasingly diverse audiences during his 'Ave Fénix Two’r' tour in the United States. While the tour focuses on connecting with Mexican immigrants and their descendants, Fernández noted through social media that he is seeing non-Latino fans, including young children, engaging with his songs.
Fernández, an icon of ranchera music known for hits such as 'El mariachi loco' and 'Amarte a la antigua', is performing a 13-concert tour. Following initial performances in California, the tour is scheduled to visit New York, Illinois, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas in November, moving to Arizona in December, and concluding in San Diego.
