Pedro Franco to perform live on Rádio MEC’s Jazz Livre

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger Pedro Franco will be the featured guest on the program ‘Jazz Livre’ this Wednesday. The performance will be broadcast via Rádio MEC at 9:00 PM in a multi-platform format, featuring simultaneous audio on the radio dial and video on the station’s YouTube channel.

Franco will be accompanied by bassist Marfa Kurakina and drummer Cassius Theperson. During the set, he will play guitar and ten-string mandolin to present his critically acclaimed recent instrumental album, ‘Black Pantha’. The performance highlights compositions from 2016 onwards, showcasing Franco’s improvisational skills.

Originally from Porto Alegre, Franco is recognized as a prominent figure in the Brazilian music scene, having performed alongside artists such as Maria Bethânia, Zélia Duncan, and Ney Matogrosso.
