Pedro Kanellopoulos wins honourable mention at IMO in Shanghai

Pedro Kanellopoulos, a student at the General Lyceum of Lower Acarnania in Greece, received an Honourable Mention at the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Shanghai, China, from 10–21 July. The competition attracted 666 participants from 117 countries.

The Greek delegation earned a silver medal, two bronze medals and two Honourable Mentions, including Kanellopoulos's. The team was led by Hellenic Mathematical Society president Anargyros Fellouris and deputy Dr. Achilleas Synefakopoulos. The achievement was praised as a source of pride for the local community, the regional educational network, and the wider Greek mathematical community.
