Pedro Luxen alleges surveillance by Santa Cruz police

Pedro Luxen, the Chief of Staff for Santa Cruz, has filed a criminal complaint alleging surveillance of his homes and family by plainclothes police officers. The complaint was presented to Prosecutor José Antonio Chan in Río Gallegos.

Luxen reported that on August 22, his wife discovered a Peugeot 208 parked near their property in the chacras area. Upon checking the vehicle's registration, Luxen identified it as belonging to the Santa Cruz Provincial Police. He claims the vehicle had been seen in the vicinity at various times during the day.

The provincial government has expressed support for Luxen, stating that Governor Claudio Vidal was aware of the situation and encouraged the legal action. However, officials also criticized the speed at which the details of the complaint reached the media, suggesting political motives from opposition sectors.
