Pedro Pascal stars in Tony Gilroy's musical drama 'Behemoth

The film “Behemoth!”, written and directed by Tony Gilroy, recently premiered at the New York Film Festival. Starring Pedro Pascal, the drama follows Alex Serian, a former cello prodigy who returns to Los Angeles to join an orchestra scoring films while caring for his dying mother.

To prepare for the role, Pascal learned to play the cello, describing the intensive process as “hell and heaven.” The film utilizes a unique musical structure, featuring a collective of nine different composers to create a score that serves as a narrative bridge between the protagonist's past and present.

Cast members include Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, and Hank Azaria. Searchlight Pictures is scheduled to release the film in theaters on December 4, 2026.
