Pedro Pascal's 'Behemoth!' Set for Dec 4, 2026 Release
Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for “Behemoth!”, a drama directed and written by Tony Gilroy. The film follows gifted cellist Alex Serian (Pedro Pascal) who returns to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. Pascal described the role as a “love letter to music… to movies”, emphasizing themes of family, legacy and healing.
The ensemble cast includes Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, Hank Azaria, Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, JoBeth Williams and Margarita Levieva. David Harbour was originally attached but left the project in January, with Arnett taking his place. Gilroy, whose last feature was The Bourne Legacy (2012), also produces alongside John Gilroy and Sanne Wohlenberg.
“Behemoth!” is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on December 4 2026. The trailer shows Serian rehearsing and performing on the cello, confronting personal and familial wounds, and letting music guide his new adventure. The film’s logline reads: “A gifted cellist, Alex Serian, returns home to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. Music, which has been the constant, all‑consuming river of his life, begins to carry Alex on an adventure that will change him forever.”
