Pedro seeks salary increase for Flamengo contract renewal

Flamengo has initiated negotiations to renew the contract of striker Pedro, who is currently under contract until December 2027. While the club aims to secure his long-term presence, the primary focus of the discussions is a significant salary increase.

According to reports, Pedro’s representatives are seeking a monthly salary of approximately R$ 1.8 million, an increase from his current earnings of roughly R$ 1 million. If the club agrees to these terms, the 29-year-old would become one of the three highest-paid players in the squad.

Sports director José Boto is leading the negotiations with the player's agent, Giuliano Bertolucci. Pedro, who has won 14 titles with the club since 2020, has expressed a desire to resolve the matter efficiently without a prolonged negotiation process. The striker remains a key figure for the team, currently leading the scoring charts in the Brasileirão.
