Javier Milei insults Pedro Sánchez during speech in Argentina

Argentine President Javier Milei has intensified his verbal attacks against Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, labeling him a “corrupt thief” and an “unpresentable dictator.” Speaking at the Fundación Faro annual dinner in Buenos Aires, Milei accused Sánchez of implementing a “replacement policy” by regularizing hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to secure votes for the PSOE.

Milei further alleged that the Spanish government is attempting to manipulate the upcoming general elections, scheduled for November 29, through the “law of grandchildren,” which grants citizenship to descendants of Spanish exiles. He also criticized European migration policies, linking them to demographic aging and a lack of pension reforms.

In response, the Spanish government condemned the remarks as “external interference.” Prime Minister Sánchez defended his administration via social media, stating that if increasing the minimum wage, raising pensions, or defending abortion rights defines him as “leftist” (zurdo), then he is proud to be so. He contrasted Spain's economic progress, noting a 66% increase in the minimum wage, against the economic situation in Argentina.
