Pedro Sánchez faces criticism over migration policies and resurfaced video
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is facing renewed criticism regarding his migration policies following reports of nearly 70,000 African migrants entering the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in a single day. Critics have accused the Prime Minister of remaining passive during the crisis and have pointed to efforts to regularize the status of approximately one million undocumented migrants in Spain.
Adding to the political pressure, a decade-old video has resurfaced online showing Sánchez shaking hands with a woman of African descent and subsequently wiping his hand with visible aversion. The footage has been used by critics to allege hypocrisy in his administration’s approach to immigration and social integration.
