Pedro Sánchez restarts PSOE campaign with rally in Valencia
Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) leader Pedro Sánchez held a rally in Valencia to restart the electoral pre-campaign for the general elections on November 29. The event, held at the El Cabanyal municipal sports center, drew approximately 5,000 people, exceeding the venue's 2,500-person capacity.
The rally began with a minute of silence to honor the 69 victims of the high-speed train collision in Urda, Toledo, which occurred on October 28.
In the lead-up to the event, the PSPV (Socialist Party of the Valencian Country) has focused its campaign on contrasting the resignation of Transport Minister Óscar Puente with the actions of former regional president Carlos Mazón. Socialist candidates, including Pilar Bernabé, have criticized Mazón for claiming mileage expenses totaling 1,931 euros despite having access to an official vehicle and driver. Additionally, PSPV candidates have accused the People's Party (PP) of cutting emergency prevention funds and neglecting public services.
