Pedro Troglio seeks arrest of suspect in $20M real estate fraud
Pedro Troglio, the technical director of Club Atlético Banfield, has formally requested the immediate arrest of Diego Lacki, a primary administrator of the real estate developer ABES. The legal action is part of an investigation into a massive real estate fraud involving an estimated 20 million dollars and approximately 160 victims.
Troglio, who reportedly invested at least 157,000 dollars in La Plata apartment projects, has provided 66 WhatsApp audio recordings and bank transfer records to prosecutors. These recordings allegedly detail the company's commercial operations and instructions regarding minimum capital transfers. Some transfers were reportedly sent to bank accounts located in Miami, United States.
The investigation includes charges of fraudulent administration, formation of an illicit association, and money laundering. Legal representatives for Troglio have expressed concerns regarding the potential for flight or the obstruction of the judicial process.
