Pegadaian expands gold ecosystem to 153.7 tons, launches digital services and opens overseas branch
PT Pegadaian (Persero) reports that its integrated gold ecosystem now manages 153.72 tons of gold as of May 2026, including 20.1 tons held in digital gold savings and 4.8 tons in installment gold products. The state‑owned firm, positioned as Indonesia’s only gold bank, offers a range of gold‑backed services such as Deposito Emas, corporate gold deposits, working‑capital loans, and an Exchange‑Traded Fund (ETF) plan, all accessible via its Tring! digital platform.
Supported by a strategic partnership with Danantara, Pegadaian secured funding from Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, posted a net profit of Rp4.38 trillion in Q1 2026 (up 87.2% YoY), and grew total assets to Rp183.8 trillion. It also opened its first overseas office in Timor‑Leste, signalling a push to internationalise its bullion business and promote gold as a liquid investment asset beyond Indonesia.
