Pegasus Airlines launches direct flights from Istanbul to Tripoli
Pegasus Airlines has launched direct flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Tripoli Mitiga International Airport in Libya. This new route aims to expand North African connectivity and strengthen commercial, touristic, and cultural ties between Turkey and Libya.
For the first two weeks, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Starting October 19, the service is scheduled to increase to daily frequency. The launch ceremony was hosted by Hanita Ahmad, Managing Director of ISG, and attended by Libyan Ambassador to Ankara Mustafa Elgelaib, Deputy Chief of Mission Mohamed Tawil, Financial Attaché Elazher Kshair, and senior Pegasus Airlines executives.
The new connection allows passengers from Tripoli to transit through Sabiha Gökçen to various destinations, including domestic Turkish routes, Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
