Peggy Flanagan and Michele Tafoya tied in Minnesota Senate poll

A recent InsiderAdvantage survey indicates a statistical tie in the Minnesota Senate race between Democratic Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya. Flanagan holds 46% support among likely voters, while Tafoya follows closely with 45%. The poll, which included 1,200 likely voters and carries a 2.95% margin of error, also noted that 6% of respondents remain undecided.

The contest is considered unusual as Minnesota is typically a Democratic stronghold, and the race appears competitive even as Democrats lead in other contests. Pollster Matt Towery suggested that the race may be influenced by the popularity of Governor Tim Walz and concerns regarding fraud within the state.

Flanagan’s campaign has also faced scrutiny following the release of a new advertisement. Critics on social media have targeted the ad's content and Flanagan's appearance, while opponents have used the campaign to raise issues regarding Medicaid fraud and taxpayer spending.
