PEI-Genesis opens new production facility in Pune, India

PEI-Genesis has opened a new production facility in Pune, India, marking its sixth global production site and its second in the Asia-Pacific region. The facility began operations on July 1, 2026, and has already completed its first customer shipment.

The site specializes in the value-added assembly of Mil-Spec circular MIL-DTL-38999 series connectors, serving the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries. The facility is certified to assemble D38999 Series Qualified Parts List (QPL) connectors and will maintain local inventory from global manufacturers to support customers in India and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

By establishing this presence, PEI-Genesis aims to provide shorter lead times, including 48-hour turnaround for value-added connectors, and greater supply chain flexibility. Domestic customers in India will also have the ability to transact in Indian Rupees.
