Pekanbaru City Government supports Hajj pilgrims and religious travel

The Pekanbaru City Government has received recognition for its support of religious travel and Hajj pilgrims. Mayor Agung Nugroho was presented with an award by the Pekanbaru Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for a policy that fully covers domestic costs for the 2026 Hajj departure group. The city allocated over Rp7 billion to fund domestic round-trip travel expenses, a move intended to ease the financial burden on pilgrims with varying economic capacities.

Additionally, the city government expressed appreciation for ABI Tour during the company’s first anniversary and the grand opening of PT Istana Wisata Religi. Mayor Nugroho commended the travel agency for providing professional and reliable Hajj and Umrah services, noting that the company’s growth reflects public trust. He encouraged the agency to maintain its commitment to service quality and to continue acting as a partner in supporting the local community's economy.
