Pekelný Ostrov rock festival and Klatovský Karafiát exhibition headline Plzeň weekend

The Plzeň region will host a series of cultural events on July 3‑4. The open‑air rock festival Pekelný Ostrov takes place in Holýšov, with a free warm‑up evening on July 2 and performances by Rybičky 48, Dymytry, Divokej Bill, Škwor, Tři sestry, Harlej, Visací zámek and others.

From July 3 the Klatovský Karafiát flower exhibition is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., showcasing about 60 varieties of the local carnation. Other highlights include multi‑genre concerts under Švihov Castle, a summer cinema screening the Czech comedy "Někdo to rád" at Mariánské Týnice on July 3, and a concert by Schola Gregoriana Pragensis on July 4.

ARA FEST in Plzeň (July 3‑4) presents Romani music alongside Czech acts such as Milan Kroka Band and Gipsy Billy. A day of crafts, folk architecture displays, workshops, and performances is scheduled in Chanovice, while the Music Summer in Kašperské Hory offers a baroque concert by soprano Kristýna Kůstková on July 4.
