Pelarco to host national Citroën classic car meeting

More than 300 enthusiasts from various regions of Chile and Argentina are expected to gather in Pelarco from October 10 to 12 for the XIX National Meeting of Citroëns and Derivatives. Organized by the Club Entre Citros de Talca, the event celebrates the history of the iconic French automobile, which has been part of Chilean automotive memory since the 1950s.

The gathering will feature tourist routes, exhibitions, competitions, and fairs. A major highlight will be the vehicle exhibition in the Plaza de Armas. The event coincides with the V National Super Senior Cueca Championship, blending automotive passion with traditional Chilean folklore.

Local authorities, including Claudio Martinez of the Municipal Culture and Tourism Corporation, noted that the event serves as a significant opportunity for local commerce, including gastronomy, crafts, and lodging, to benefit from the influx of visitors during the long holiday weekend.
