Pelindo Regional 2 reports growth in port activity and commodity handling

Pelindo Regional 2 has reported growth across several key operational indicators through August 2026. Ship calls reached 42,696, a 2.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. Container throughput rose by 3.7 percent to 6.48 million TEUs, while non-containerized goods volume grew by approximately 10 percent, reaching 41.64 million tons.

In Banten, Pelabuhan Ciwandan continues to support national food industry logistics through the handling of bulk wheat. Between January and July 2026, the port handled 665,098 metric tons of wheat. This follows a significant operation in early 2026 where the port managed 73,700 metric tons of wheat from the vessel MV INCE EVRENYE.
