Pelister National Park rescue operation saves injured hiker

An injured individual was rescued from an inaccessible area above Little Lake in Pelister National Park. The person sustained fractures to both lower legs and experienced bleeding during movement, though they remained conscious.

Following an emergency call at 12:04, multiple agencies were activated, including the Bitola Emergency Medical Service, the Bitola Police Station, the Bitola Mountain Rescue Service (DZС), and the Pelister National Park ranger service. Due to the difficult terrain, aerial support was requested to assist with transport.

The Bitola Mountain Rescue Service team reached the individual and began transport via an off-road vehicle. At 13:45, rescue teams met near the ‘Lovecka Kujka’ location, where a doctor from the Bitola Emergency Medical Service provided medical assistance. The individual was subsequently transported to the Bitola Clinical Hospital for further treatment.
