Pelješac and Mljet to receive 1.6 million euros for new facilities
The Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds has allocated 1.6 million euros to fund two major infrastructure projects in the Pelješac and Mljet regions. These projects are supported through the Integrated Territorial Program for Islands, which has provided a total of 28 million euros in non-refundable funds for the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
In Ston, funding has been granted for the construction of the Pelješac Rehabilitation and Hippotherapy Center in Putnikovići. This facility will be a fully equipped building designed to support professional staff working with children with developmental disabilities and persons with disabilities. The center will include indoor and covered spaces for hippotherapy, facilities for therapeutic horses, various therapy rooms, and a multi-purpose hall.
In Mljet, funding has been approved for the construction of a new fire station in the Žukovac area to improve local emergency response capabilities.
