Approximately 2,500 participants took part in the 'Road of Sacrifice of Giannitsa 2026' to honor the memory of 120 citizens executed by Nazi forces on September 14, 1944. The event, organized by the Municipality of Pella under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence, included a half-marathon, a 5.5 km run, and a 1,000m race for primary and nursery school students.
