Peller announces plans to host Wole Soyinka on livestream

Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, has announced plans to host Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka on a livestream. During a broadcast on October 13, 2026, Peller expressed his desire to engage the renowned writer in a conversation focused on formal English, advanced grammar, and Nigeria’s literary heritage.

Peller described the proposed event as a “proper English day,” promising a session filled with “grammar.” The announcement has drawn significant interest due to the stark contrast between Peller’s energetic, informal digital entertainment style and Soyinka’s status as a distinguished playwright, poet, and the first African to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.

As of now, no specific date has been set for the broadcast, and it remains unconfirmed whether Soyinka or his representatives have accepted the invitation.
